lolabobs | (no subject)

I struggled to draw something, anything , no time at lunchtime, and then i had to work late, and then and then, whinge etc, i came to my desk at 10, and sat here - and 10 discarded pieces of paper later I still was no further on. I did have a 'photo I had taken last week, but felt it was a bit cheesy - kinda classic cheese, gosh look at this spiderweb-by, and weren't that good anyway.
I decided to look in my 'pretty' file of pictures, to cheer myself up. Inspired to draw a lady, 'cos I haven't tried that yet.. that didn't work either.
In the end I went with this picture - 'cos I haven't attempted adding a body to anything before now(eta,except for the indian, and it's natural that I blocked that out!) - so this was todays final, resigned attempt!

Oh I love him so much. Beautiful uniform, and I like way you did his face and hair. I would totally have known who this was, I am sorry about not knowing who the not paul simon was, do we get to know?

heh! - thanks - face was just animpression rather than meant to be representative, and it worked reasonably well - as for not Paul Simon - I drew him and I can't tell who it is! (was drawn from a pic of Mr Specey - not one dotsworth of it looks like him - which could be said to prove thatthe technical approach doesn't work, but really just means I'm a bit pants! - don't care though - even with the 'drawer's block' of today,I'm enjoying naarmamo!)
