Yay.

There may be reportage later, but in the meantime, have some photos. Not too many I promise.

The pool - empty-ish the first few days, then suddenly everyone arrived and it was heaving thereafter. nice and big tho.

Then there was real, natural expanse of water..

some sand dunes

the wind was horrendous here, and blew the sand everywhere.

The post boxes were yellow

The food portions were huge. This was my friend's starter

This was mine - it was on every menu and listed as a local speciality - "Canarian Potatoes with Mojo Sauce"... this is what came..
Photobucket
A dish of small boiled potatoes, a pot of sauce alongside! (one menu translation fornthe dish that I noticed after this day listed the meal as 'small, wrinkled skins' !

This is me with a lighthouse

This is me in the shade..

And this is my very own cliched holiday snapshot....

Beautiful! And the water and food and trees are, too. :)

Boiled potatoes! Go figure!

They're great pictures!:):) It looks great, I like the huge natural expanse of water, they're the best. And the boiled potatoes make me hungry. I think I have potatoes. I might have potatoes for tea.

That's a very pretty part of the world. Thanks for sharing!

I have pool envy. And ocean envy.

:)

Boiled potatoes indeed, earthy and gritty and amountain of them.

One speciality I won't be keen to re-experience!

I hope your potatoes were more exciting than mine!

The sea was quite nice - although living next to the sea I am rather spoilt.

The sun was beautiful and the sky so clear. Lovely indeed.

It was a very bizarre part of the world, in that it was nothing but hotels. There were no homes, no locals, it was nothing but tourist sites and hotels. strange and kinda surreal.

The pool was lovely - freezing though! It took a real strength to duck under some mornings!

I am rather spoilt withthe sea as I live right on the east coast 5 minutes away from the beach, so I probably don't appreciate iut as actively as I should.

Yes, the weather here has been lovely since I got back. It's nice cos it's warm without being stifling.

The pool was gorgeous, I used to just flaot around relishing the water and the freedom.

Swimming off England? Brrr! You're tougher than I am.

Swimming? Not so much recently - though that's more due to the concept of me being in a swimsuit in a public place, but I spent many a childhood summer in the North Sea!
