I will answer my comments shortly (when I stop weeing!) but first
So - starting the day with an obligatory two pints of water makes one a little grumpy. Or rather the 15 loo stops before 10am do. It also makes ones wee very pale. After the constant need to wee had passed I continued to fidget restlessly, fretting about needing wc breaks in teh afternoon.
In the end I decided to go to the hospital early, grab a sandwich there, then sit and force the next 2 pints of water down whilst in the waiting room to avoid any awkward walking with a fuull bladder. So, I necked the bottle and waited - and they called me 30 minutes early!
This had the bonus that when she was pressing very hard on my abdomen I didn't wet myself. She did press very hard. Not that it hurt in any way, but the last scan I had (on my boob) was much gentler. Anyway, as a kind on bogof she offered me an internal scan also, which I regretfully declined. (Promptly regretted it afterward, as no doubt I'll still have to have one later, and I could have gotten it over and done with without the angsty anticipation; but there you go.)
I will get the results in "about a week", or rather my doctor will, but the scanner said she was pretty certain I have Fibroids.Hmm. Not overly worrisome in themselves, except, you know, for the symptoms. I now just wait and see suggested treatments etc. How fun!
And in the hour since I've been back I've been to the loo 4 times!

Doughnut would be my favoured cure.
