A nitpicky thought on yesterday's SPN
ie this week the distrust felt good. I *liked* being fearful of Samuel. (Although I admit I did have a hope that Alfa might kill all the Campbell cousins once he'd gotten started!) - but I felt a flash of trust for the one who almost had the baby (I am rubbsh with names in all aspects of life, real and fandom alike).
So yes, I enjoyed Samuel being creepy assed and unreliable, I liked the flashes of distrust that Dean showed; even with regards Sam, like When he was holding Bobby-John #2 as well as the explicit questioning that came later. I LOVED Dean getting an insight into John and his difficult parenting. We all know he worshipped his Daddy and finding out that now, those bits that he allowed himself to criticise and question - that not only is he doing it himself, there's a real reason behind it, a real, insurmountable dilemma... Way to add to his Daddy confusion!
Dean with a baby was ... well... I think my womb grew back.
So; I loved it.
The collecting of specimens seemed a little reminiscent of Buffy and Adam, so I hope they don't go down that route, though I'm sure it would be God or an angel behind it as opposed to a government initiative!
My nitpicky observation though: - as there was no obvious prompt for the shift from Bobby-John #1 to #2, how come none of the babies had explodey-changed before? Surely the mom's would have noticed!

I am more comfortable with The Addams family now I'm being creeped out by them. It feels better to not trust them and to hope that some day some Corin Nemic's character will be munched on by something with big teeth. There will be much celebration.
I want to know what's going on with Sam, and I want it at least discussed and accepted if not fixed. ::sigh:: I know this show's going to break my heart.

It's strange, this show is incredibly painful at times, but I kinda like it that way. Although this week teh anxiety and reluctance to watch was a little too strong! Now that episode 2 relieved some of my worries I can get back to anticipation and the sort of trust that they show does normally come through...
