Everyone who came to see me today was depressed (I don't think there was a cause and effect going on there!). It's been a hard day. I also had to drive for an hour to go and listen to a sex offender justify his offences for two hours, and then more depression and, well pah to that. Got back so late from work though that I missed all the trick or treaters!

I was very proactive today though - 'phoned my insurance company and told them I would leave them if they didn't match my lowest quote - they dropped £70 off price just like that. (which just shows how overpriced it was to start with I suppose, but it gave me a sense of achievement!)

My 'People' magazine arrived today (yup eBay rides again!) - all about DS and his arrest - I am suprised at the level of information they gave to a magazine - details of the abuse etc. It's made e more intrigued then ever to read his biog. - It's fascinating reading some of the 'insight' the article around the interview has - comparing it with the work I do now, and the approach that we take.

ack. Nother busy day ahead...

I want to read it!! And what do you do, exactly?

I want to read it!!

I'll scan it for you tonight and email it if you want...

Want some candy? - Trick or treat?

And what do you do, exactly? I'm a Probation Officer (similar but not exactly to a Parole officer I think) - I deal with offenders who are in custody, who have been released from prison, and with those offenders who receive Community Penalties instead of custody - looking to prevent re-offending, manage risk etc, identify triggers, teach alternatives, offer controls etc etc etc One of the fields in which I work therefore (hence my comments above)is with Domestivc Violence, working with Cognitive Behavioural programmes to re-educate, but we 'cover' all offences from driving offences to murder. So it's a pretty varied job!

I'd love for you to scan it, if it isn't too much trouble.

I am impressed by your career. It sounds as if it could be hard on you emotionally, too.

Yeah, the candy was from Halloween. My girls hit the jackpot - we have candy all *over* the place.

Hi

I have emailed the article to you - if it doesn't get there let me know and I will try again!

Candy - sounds delightful - another side effect of having small people!

job: It certainly has it's moments, yesterday I spent the day trawling the corridors looking for people to talk to to bouy me up a little, but they're not all like that!
