(no subject)

mmmm, strawberries and cream, with jamaica ginger cake is a suprisingly compatible dessert.

I was feeling a bit huffy last night, so went to bed at 8.35 - but then watched The Shield - yes, I succumbed to Season 5 (The last - I was trying to not run out - at least when I do I will be able to hunt down fic without fearing spoilers). In my huff I decided to watch one episode... how can it be so very good? I had to force myself to switch of at 1am, and only then because I had work today and HAD to be in early. It is so intense, and visceral and there was this one scene when Vic and Lem were kind of struggle/fighting, and they stopped and Lem asked a question of Vic, and he just looked. How can so much be communicated in a look. I do love it. It made my stomach clench.

I am shortly off to watch more...

Work was hectic today; racially aggravated assault, sex offender x2, domestic violence x2, drug addiction x2. I love my job! really - not even a jot of sarcasm - I really do love my job! Even though Ecuador was mocked :(
