lolabobs: (starsky & hutch)
You should all applaud my willpower! - or pity me. I'm not sure which.
Starsky came - and I have done things today other than purely watch dvds!

I went on a proper walk with my friend and her mum's friend's mother's dog. We walked in nature with trees and grass and crickets chirping! We scrumped apples. I have big blisters now, but it was still rather fab. (The dog was a bit of a nuisence,I'm not really a dog person, so could have done without her, but it made us look more natural when we were looking for apples!)

I spent several hours trying to create a gallery for my naarmamo stuff ( I did: http://pics.livejournal.com/lolabobs/gallery/000051h3) but it's a bit crap, 'cos the 'taller' pictures are just showing the middle section and I don't know how to adjust that, and after the huge effort it took to rearrange them into the correct order I just gave up. Still a record of my Naarmamo experience is there for all to see.

I did some cleaning, and had a long bath and spoke on the phone several times.

AND I WATCHED STARSKY & HUTCH!

I have only watched a few - I think Starsky is much prettier with longer hair. I think they work so well together, and I can't possibly squeak about specific things here, 'cos I need to go to bed - but in The Fix (which was fantastic in every way) there was one particular moment - and it wasn't all the hugging and holding and embracing ( though that, of course, was wonderful), but Hutch is on a wall, kind of just lying there, and the look that Starsk gives him then is just - perfect.

Right. bed.

Big Blisters - am I supposed to pop it and take the top off or leave it as it is? I can never remember.

My Mum has invited me to dinner tomorrow, and I've said yes,'cos my bro and his girlfriend and my nephew are going and Dad will be out at his Naval association thing all day, so basically I need to be there to run Mum to the shops, do cooking etc - but it all seems like a huge faff. It's my last day before returning to work and, well really. I have mentioned my general anti-social nature before haven't I! - No, it WILL be good, it's just the fact that I will have to give best part of the day to trogging round the supermarket while Mum panics and insists on a trillion desserts... She wants to do a massive two meat roast with all the trimmings - I think I will work at persuading her onto some kind of Farmhouse chickenny thing, with pavlova for dessert.. sounds much nicer..

A friend of mine recently had a birthday and was bought an expensive necklace - with her initial as a pendant - this horrified her enough as it was (although she attempted to hide it and when opening her gifts she made polite thank you noises at the necklace - then squealed with delight and leapt up and hugged me when she saw the print out of a Richard Hammond photo I'd knocked up for her as a joke!)
But imagine her horror when her fella pointed out that Del Boy was wearing the self same item on OFAH tonight!

Me? I have left the home on three separate occasions today (the usual excuse which comes just before I squeak about my dvd watching..) Yep More S&H - All I will squeak about today is:
Hutch cooked for Starsky - a proper, table dressed with candles, wine meal. He cooked his favourite meal (having phoned his mother to check) and served up whilst talking about sunsets.
