Nov. 16th, 2006 10:49 pmBah - work screwed up 1) everyone's tax payments so we all got screwed for a £200+ extra tax bill this month and 2) my individual wage and overpaid me £260 too much last month, so took it back this month with no warning (We all got paid a random amount of many months backpay last month, no one had any expectation of what we were getting, and all got slightly different amounts, so there was no way that I realised this) - so this month's wagepack is almost £500 down. - Thank goodness for overdraft facilities :(
I continue to giggle inappropriately - once today when complaining to HR about the above - (I feel this may have undermined the assertiveness of my complaint about the 'no warning ' thing. And again when talking to the Help desk after I had locked myself out of my computer by incorrectly entering my password 3times. - G whispered that they would ask me what my password was (it was "Starsky'sBum!") and I realised I couldn't possibly tell them that - I told them I had locked myself out and the stern IT man was going "And that's funny is it?" oops. I think I'm bordering on hysteria at the moment - and G isn't helping. When I was on the phone to HR he was doing Mickey Mouse Tiny Tim/Scrooge quotes, and behaving generally very badly.
Oh and we had a nest of tables appear in our waiting room this morning - by tonight they had been stolen!
I did do some positive work in between all this unprofessionalism, some Court reports, and Risk assessments. I do do some work.
Although my Starsky& Hutch dolls arrived today, so I was a little distracted!
