Dec. 15th, 2006 04:27 pmWell. Went to docs - turned into a family reunion - i met my Mum there - which was planned, and my brother which was not. I spoke more to my brother in the close confines of the waiting room than, well in the past two or three years put together.
Bizarre.
Outcomes: Mother has diabetes - has to see the nurse next week to learn all about it. She seems extremely blase and laid back about this, though did bemoan the fact she had bought a Christmas Pudding this year and may not be able to eat it!
I: Doctor poked and prodded. listened to my chest whilst telling me "breathe", which I kinda thought I was doing. Either way he declared that the antibiotics hadn't worked, gave me a new prescription of new medication - and signed me off, unprompted, for another week. - (The fact I sounded like an asthmatic carthorse may have prompted him a little bit.) Whilst the new meds mean I will have to do the whole of Christmas - and my birthday :( - stone cold sober, but I admit to being rather pleased to have another week off! With the Christmas break, this means I return on the 28th.
(My brother appears to have a sore back.)
