Apr. 6th, 2008 10:05 pmYawn. It's been a busy weekend. I did more sorting/cleaning today, and have a tidy front room for the first time in ages! How long will it last? I'm so untidy it even gets me down. I'm trying to become more disciplined.
I attempted to make pancakes today, but they just would not work and I gave up in the end and had some toast instead - very much not the same thing and I am left craving something sweet.
Friday evening was spent with my Mum and my brother's gf, and we've been 'booked' to go again Tuesday night. Brother is working nights at the moment - it's his 3rd week and he has around 4 more to go. Every fortnight my nephew is at the house and therefore gf has company, but on the alternate weeks she is on her own. She works full time and gets back at around 7, she goes to bed at around 10.30. However, she's getting low and down because she is spending 'so much' time on her own. It's strange isn't it? I live on my own and spend most evenings alone. It's what suits me. I've never had a problem with being in an empty house or in my own company. I have more than enough to keep me occupied. I know it's different when you have been used to company, as in the case of gf who is now on her own, but otoh, it's only been 3 weeks and she's had nephew there for half of that. I guess I'm the opposite though and after a few days without time alone I am climbing the walls and emotionally fraught. We's all different afterall.
