Jun. 18th, 2008 09:34 pmWell then... Mum has been allowed home - we brought her back at 6pm tonight. She was on edge all afternoon, wanting to go NOW - consequently when we did get her home she was exhausted and in a lot of pain, as she hadn't been resting properly. Still we put her into bed and hopefully she will get a good night's sleep - in a bizarre silver lining concept - getting tired and hurty so quickly will at least have the side effect of making her realise that she really does need to take things easy if she wants to aid her recovery.
The doc said that they 'got everything' when they did the op, but we are still waiting for the test results with regards the lymph nodes - she has an appointment next week for that. Obviously am really hoping that this is a positive (or negative!) resut, as Mum is fixated on not needing follow up treatment and I don't think she'll cope with chaemo or radiotherapy. Fingers crossed!
It's good she's home though.
Thank you to everyone who has been supportive and lovely recently - you don't know how appreciated it is.
