lolabobs: (happy texas hands)
I watched Maestro today - I was a bit dismayed to see its running length of 90 minutes, but Davey was in it, so I decided to at least give it a go... and it was actually good. I got a bit sick of hearing the same 4 pieces of music over and over and over and over and... well, you get the idea, but it was entertaining, and there was Davey spoiler ). It also had Sue Perkins, whom I am beginning to fall a little bit in love with. (Although I missed Giles Coren who should always be with her). I shall await the remaining episodes with caution (Hope every epsiode isn't 90 minutes long!)

Today also had workforce statistics on the radio news, which made me think of Cee! Cee, I heard your stats!

Finally today saw the arrival of my Sherlock Holmes cassettes - they actually did every single novel and short story - I can't wait to start listening - the ones I've heard already are great, I can't wait to pick out some of my favourite stories to see what they done with them!

One definition of heart sinking?

You have worked late and after a long day of rubbishy work get home at 8.15 starving. You realise there is nothing substantial in the house to eat. You discover that you have a couple of slices of bread and a small corner of cheese, which if you grate and mix with the leftover grated mozerella your mum gave you, you have just enough to make cheese on toast with worcestershire sauce. You toast the bread, you grate the cheddar. You load the toast with cheddar, add the sauce and then sprinkle the mozerella all over the top.

As you finish and go to place it all under the grill you notice, out of the corner of your eye, the green flecks of mould on the, now nicely mixed and amalgamated, grated mozerella.
