I survived Christmas :)
Actually it was really nice.
Christmas Eve evening, I saw my friend, we spent far to long trying to recreate the Malteasers ad where they blow the Malteaser up in the air and hold it there. Way far too long! Alcohol may have been involved. It is actually much harder than it looks.
Christmas Day was spent with the parents - very quiet, but mellow and relaxed. We don't do the big Christmas Dinner thing, just cold cuts and pickles(!), but nice. Amongst my gifts were a DSlite and a book - Father nabbed both of them and I had to fight for access. As soon as he put the book down, Mother snaffled it. I guess it must be interesting!
Boxing Day I went for a walk along the Sea Wall with my friends. OmG it was cold. Bitter wind blowing right through you. My ears were stinging, my eyes watering. It hurt my teeth it was so cold! But it was lovely. The sea was really rough and a milky grey colour where it was so riled up. Splashing waves and salt in the air. Bright bright sky and so clear. Really refreshing.
Then we went to my brother's for Christmas #2. Proper turkey dinner, pudding and crackers this time around. More presents in the afternoon. Games and a really nice time. We played Who's Who or Who's in the bag. Basically celebrity names you have to describe to your team. Great game when played with like minded folk... My team? have no celebrity knowledge this side of the 50s. ie Mum described Colin Firth by talking about the Firth of Forth and "Aunt Tricia's boy" - Not suprisingly we lost! Good fun though.
And today I have been sale shopping with friends. Bitterly cold once more and we got chilled to the bone. Have been home over an hour and am still frozen. But it was a good afternoon. No huge bargains; some baby clothes for presents, and cards for next year. but a nice mooch nonetheless.
And now I'm hungry.
