Nov. 21st, 2010 10:54 amokey dokey.
In a wierd switch off, I've finlly had some actual *sleep* at night - the trade off being that I am having very odd, sometimes disurbing dreams. Hmm.
My new work schedule looks as if it's going to exhaust me:
Mon: 9-5
Tues: 9 - 9.30 (12.5 hours not .5!) with an hour's drive either side.
Wed: 9-5
Thurs: 2.30 - 9.30 (hour's drive either side again)
Fri: 9-12.45
I don't know. I've been very tired this week, I guess I will adjust reasonably well to it, given time.
Busy week ahead too - in with those hours I've a night our Wed, seeing Harry Potter on Fri, have my fancy dress party to go to on Saturday and am off to Ikea on Sunday. Sometime before Saturday I have to make (or complete) my costume. Do you know how incredibly long it takes to sew on layers of fringing to a dress? HOURS that' how long. Pah.
I had (or rather didn't) my treadmill heart thing this week. In that I went along for the appointment, but was bustled in to see the cardiologist consultant instead of the ecg technician. She talked to me, examined me, asked questions etc, then announced that my heart anomoly was one held by 3% of the population and wasn't generally one to be worried about. That my blood tests etc had shown no problems and as I have had no problems, pains or otherwise since that night, that there was nothing to be gained by the treadmill exercise, that heart problems were rare in someone of my age, and even more so in women of my age and that she had no concerns and no worries. So go away. oh, and don't get diabetes (!).
Anita: results showed that there was cancer in only a few of the remaining lymph nodes removed, which was a relief. They are starting her on chemo in a couple of weeks and her treatment will include Herceptin. This alarms me a little, because of my perception of the types and severity of cancer that that drug is used to treat, but it's a good thing that she is having the best possible treatment. They are certainly viewing this all as positive, and that's what counts.
right - off to do more stitching...
