Aug. 22nd, 2012 11:45 pmWhew! I haven't stopped in the last few days, but I've made it to the end of my working week and I now have the long weekend off. HUrrah. I'm planning on ripping up my stair carpet - because the bare floor can't be worse than the carpet, and I hope to paint it and fit some carpet tiles on the treads. Who knows how that will turn out!
I've had three minor (very) financial woes today, but they came one upon the other and made me grumpy. I do mean VERY minor, it's just the grumpiness of it.
Meal out tonight and I am normally happy to split the bill even if it's not an exact share, but today's split came without any acknowledgement/discussion; after I had to send my dessert back TWICE for being off (profiteroles, cream was sour, I gave up in the end and went without and watched my companion eat his multi component dessert without offering me a bit.), whilst spending the evening listening to him telling me how happy he was now he's in a relationship and how even if he thought he was happy before he was only lying to himself and he really wants me to find true love like him so I can be happy and stop lying to myself too. So the extra fiver I had to pay peeved me.
Then I came home and found a message on my phone from the vets saying "Oh, we undercharged you last time you came in, so can you come and pay us the rest. As soon as possible. Tomorrow would be best." - bloody cheek! Their mistake, they should honour it! It's only £8 but even so!
Then I opened my emails to see my 02 bill and not only have they not refunded me the £22 they overcharged me the last two months (that they promised me they would), they've overcharged me again this month and (after contacting them) tell me I have to wait yet another month for anything to be done. I had this conversation via 'live chat' - Once it became obvious the woman wasn't going to do anything to resolve the issue, I ended the chat very politely saying that I was unhappy with the outcome of the chat she responded with a plaintive "but I have tried to help you..." - *almost* made me feel sorry for her!
So. Like I said minor minor issues, but three in quick succession on a very tired Lola!
