one question within for opinions?

oooh.
Dean. Pretty, beautiful, tortured Dean. And whatever I'd been expecting of his time in hell, it wasn't that. How does he cope with that - with 10 years of that? And someone somewhere pointed out the parallels with Ruby being tortured by Alisdair and now we know that's what Dean was doing. And oh Dean - crying so beautifully. And Sam - Sam didn't judge, not for a second.
Question - Dean gave up Anna to protect Sam... or was that part of the Godzilla plan? Did he give up Anna, then make the plan with Sam? Or was it a bluff a la Ruby?
There was lots of self sacrifice within this episode - Ruby with the torture (excellent bluff btw, I completely believed she was selling them out) and Anna with the re-Gracing herself.
Did you see the way Castiel looked when Anna kissed Dean - there was something there. Envy re her humanity? Jeaslousy 'cos she and Dean? Sorrow?
There were a couple of bits that gave me pause - The main being Alisdair - I really struggled with the casting, I didn't like the way he spoke, or his mouth and it seemed a little high camp as opposed to high menace - but I guess I will get used to him soon enough.
oh - and the sex scene - Titanic? Really!? Lol.
