Matt Smith - looked good in the brief flashes in the trailer, and I am keen to see him in he future eps. It's difficult because everyone is looking to those few seconds at the regeneration - p'raps, like you said RTD wouldn't let go!
Catherine Tate is the exact reason I'm not dismissing MS out of hand, because I disliked her show and didn't like her in her first episode at all, but she has become my favourite companion of the new lot. I was disappointed with Matt's first few seconds, but am fully prepared to like him once he finds his feet and plays His Doctor.
