lolabobsDoctor Who keeps happening. I keep watching. I'm not quite sure why. I want to remain hopeful I suppose. I do like Rory.
White Collar - also keeps happening. I am much clearer why I keep watching this. This week for example there was boxing. The pretend boxing was quite wonderful, the choreography and happiness. They looked like they were having much fun. And then there was real boxing. I don't really care about Sam, or the overriding arc at the moment, but I'm quite happy for there to be jealousy and trust issues and nearly naked boxing. I don't care about the gaps in excellence in the story, when they plug them with fanservice and nearly naked boxing.
And there's also been Lewis. Which I'm watching out of order, because some were on the telly and now I'm watching the ones I've missed and it doesn't really matter and there's a delightful distance between Lewis and Hathaway and it's all blissfully underplayed and Laurence Fox is very appealing.
(Where is the fic? I need the fic and there isn't enough. Where's fic?)
Oh, oh, and there was Greg and John from Masterchef doing that antiques roadshow auction competition thing and but Greg thrashed John, absolutely hammered him and John was all good spirited and jolly about it, but there was real competetiveness there and oh, oh Greg was just pun pun pun all the time, and not witty, choosing the moment puns, just bombarding attention seeking puns and the poor antique guy was completely fatigued by them and I think Greg must be really annoying if that is an iota of what he is really like. But the butter making was good - my mum always tells a story how she and her school friends would make butter at playtime from the cream in their playtime milk, and I was never quite sure how that worked, but they showed us how. Ironically, when it was on, Mum didn't comment on her story, despite that fact she tells it so often the whole family can quote it.
And finally, how fantastic is Sue Perkins' quiff in The Great British Bake Off?!
