lolabobsfreaking out. overeaction i know. but.
They were supposed to start putting my central heating in today - day booked off and frantic sorting out over the weekend. they phoned me yesterday to say they now wouldn't start until tomorrow. - peeved,'cos day off for nothing etc - though I can make the best of that of course.
Plumber popped round today, to check the location of the radiators - and he's freaked me out. Says it's gonna take him 2 weeks to do - 2 weeks of chaos in my house -(Although it's ok, I'll "have hot water for most of it") - He's talking about pulling up my carpets and running pipes through cupboards etc - which I had initially expected, but when he quoted, told me wouldn't be necessary.
two weeks though? It took the engineers 3 days to do my parents house - he tells me he'll be on his own, 'cos his helper is on holiday - but it's ok. 'cos his wife will pop round some days to hold the floorboards.
I feel sick.
he came recommended, is "reliable" "trustworthy" " a clean worker" but.. omg.
