update: work still hectic. I still have no voice.
heh - the person who was going to leave to go to another office, and the resultant room changes that were touted around have been abandoned. Yay! To be replaced with new ones. Boo!
What is funny (to me) though is: There is a need to place the two new trainees in a two person office. We have two, two people offices in the building. The one I share with G, and the next door one occupied by I&A. Last time, when 'they' made the mistake of thinking G&I would allow a third person into our office (bearing in mind that when we started there were indeed three of us in there), we were emphatic in our unwillingness (whilst knowing there would be no choice if they insisted), but I did come up with a workable solution that involved leaving us untouched. Now that is defunct as I said and new problems have arisen.
Today our boss popped in - to ask us what we thought of their new room change idea... (which in itself amuses me) - the new idea involves moving just about every officer - except us!! Yay for emphatic, constructive protest. The new plan isn't ideal as at the moment I,A, G & me are like the irritating, incestuous neighbours of the past, always popping in to chat and consult, and they will probably be moved downstairs and not be as accessible... we'll overcome this though.
It's worth it not to disturb our equilibrium of calm, peace. We are very inappropriate in our discussions (I view this as a healthy venting for the subject matter we deal with combined with a way of diminishing the distorted thinking that we get thrust upon us daily - others, not so 'modern' might view us as crude or insensitive!), We share a sense of humour, a need for peace, to work in semi darkness with lamps not lights. We have our own kettle because the 10 minute wait in the communal area is sometimes quite literally unbearable for both us. We have some very 'sincere and earnest' colleagues. Also noisy.
Anyway enough of that -

Isn't it fab ?
