Panto was traditional, cheesy fun - Adam Rickett (from Coronation Street) was the 'star' (I use the term advisedly!). Wooden was not the word for it - he seemed to be on a different planet to the rest of the cast, as if there were a shield or a cloud separating him. He looked very thin, haggard almost and very softly spoken. Worse still - he lisped quite badly and the script writer, who had given him a minimal amount of lines anyway, felt compelled to give him lines such as : "whomsoever this glass slipper fits, shall be my princess" - it was a giggle, and I nearly lost it when the middle aged fairy Godmother launched into Queen's "It's a kind of magic" !! Jolly good fun.
My friend's little girl is now beginning to talk - and is adorable. She has her attention caught by random things and delights in naming them "door!" "chair!" and so on. She has also recently learnt the word 'NO!', which bodes well for the months to come!
I haven't eaten chocolate for 6 whole days! It wasn't a resolution or anything - I didn't make any this year, but it's kinda happenned naturally. Which is unnatural for me. I wonder how long it will last?

Apparantly I score 0 for being an extravert, but am very agreeable!
