Oct. 27th, 2006 10:37 pmooh, I have new glasses - well on order anyway. £223 squids worth of new glasses, coatings etc, but I hope they will be ok. It was actually fun, 'cos there was a man there to help me, I stood there while he ran around and gave me various specs to try on. I put them on, stared at him (without, you know, actually seeing him - so none of that stupid embarassment thing) - he said euw... then went and got another pair and another pair and. Oh yes. I had a positive shopping experience. (ie he finally didn't say euw!) They're 'designer' but I can't remember who.
I also bought clothes (most certainly NOT designer!) but I haven't tried those on yet.
I also bought a movie 'cos it looked vaguely slashy on the cover, have never heard of it. "The Emperors Club" - It has Kevin Kline. It might be good.
I have to be part of a 'focus group' about my job to help in research for academic papers (they didn't mention that bit when it was floated by me as 'a meeting in Norwich' would I go as a favour') AND it's being lead by one of the scary tutors from my course... hmm. On the plus side I am the only officer in my building who doesn't have a case being auditted! Yay!
There are plastic spiders and fake cobwebs on my bedroom window, courtesy of my next door neighbours who decorated their house 3 days ago for halloween but evidently didn't fix things properly.
