Sep. 15th, 2012 02:16 pmHello.
I've been on holiday. An entirely internetless holiday. I coped rather well and spent the evenings reading and watching Lewis.
I took Mother to Sheringham, a cute little seaside village, very quiet, very peaceful and actually very restful. I feel recuperated. I still feel sick at the thought of returning to work on Monday, but a week away from everything has done me the world of good. Hurrah.
We stayed in a small apartment. We were 60seconds from the main street, 4minutes from the sea and 4 from the train station (with steam trains).
We didn't do much, Mum can't walk far, so we just pootled in the little shops and mooched around.
I got excited when I saw a "Moriarty is real" sticker on the bank in Cromer, I read loads of fan fic, watched Lewis after Mum was in bed and have come back rested and relaxed.
Which is just as well, because the house next door, which has been empty almost a year has new occupants. 3-small-kids-and-a-dog type occupants. They seem quiet (I don't mind standard dog and kids noise, I just hate loud music and screaming fights!) but their back yard is now piled wall height with rubbish and boxes. I'm hoping this is 'moving in mess' and not general "my crapshake brings all the rats to the yard" mess.
Of course, being internetless for the week means I have missed all your updates, birthdays and news. Please don't think me rude!
