Aw. Albert (my cat, grey one in the icon) has hurt his paw. He's so sad and clearly in pain. It's gotten much worse since this morning and he can't even sit with it comfortably :(
I took him to the vets this morning and they suspected ligament/tendon damage, and said he's need to be knocked out for an xray - so they sent him home with no pain relief or bandaging to wait for his xray tomorrow. ANd now he's just sitting there looking so sad. Poor baby.
Abd emphasis on the 'poor' for me - this is costing me "at least" £200 - with a question mark over the rest depending on what treatment is required.
Poor pussy, poor pussy cat.

Oh - and having been burgled, don't you think my bro would be more careful with his belongings? They've now lost their one remaining camera. I don't know if I'd dare get on a plane just now....

Date: 2008-06-14 08:07 am (UTC)Turns out he had an abscess, which they drained etc - but sill did the mega expensive xray 'just in case'. He now still has no bandages, but is on antibiotics to fight infection. It seems less painful though, which is good.

Date: 2008-06-14 08:05 am (UTC)He's had an xray now £220 on top of the £29 from yesterday, and now we await the results. They also conincidentally found an abscess on the same foot - which to me says - oh, that's why he was limping. They on the other hand decided (without asking me) that it was clearly a coincidence and perhaps he does still have this really unusual ligament thing and we'll do the £200 xray just in case...
And now having said that it probably will be the ligament thing, and they can be figuratively "I told you so"
