That looks like our fish slice, only unslatted. Possibly that's the sort of cover spatulas are going under these days.

It's a lot smaller than a fish slice though - about half the size. The spatula bit is only 1-2 inches wide

Ah. I tried typing 'crank handled spatula' into google images to see if that turned anything up, but it didn't. The crank handle does seem to be what's different about it though.

yeah - I really struggle with the new ones, and the silicon bends too much to get anything out of the dishes! These olde style ones had rigidity and were much better!

I do not have a spatula like this, but I will keep my eyes open for one for you. It certainly looks like a kitchen thing you should be allowed to expect to buy whenever you need one.

Mum got the one in the picture from Argos in one of those 'tons of utensils' box set things - she got a new kitchen and wanted it all green. They were common or garden argos fodder once upon a time...
