Whee!
My friend and I had planned to go to the cinema last night, but when it came to it there was nothing available to watch, at the right time, that we fancied, so we went for a meal instead. We had a really good talk over the meal - then as we retired to the bar there was a quiz starting. (irritatingly with free food mid way through - We made a note for next time!) - so we played along, in between scrawling lists of people we, for want of a better word, fancied*) - and at the end of the evening found we came second - Winning a voucher for a meal. We were chuffed - especially as we were only a twosome, and all the other team were between 4-8 people. Yay!
I have only one more day at work now - I have filing to do, summaries of my cases to write and to pack my office - that's all! Utterly bizarre feeling. But not dreadful.
*When I couldn't sleep years ago, I used to lay abed and try and list 33 stars that I fancied (I don't know why 33). I always used to struggle, I told my friend this and he expressed incredulity that I had found it difficult - so I challenged him to do the same - he scrawled 33 in moments, I took much longer - but we ended up just adding to the lists throughout the evening, trading names and seeing if there were any overlap. It sounds odd, but it was funny.

Date: 2010-02-25 09:12 pm (UTC)Who was teh oldest? Well, there were people on there like Cary Grant and Gene Kelly, who I guess would technically be the oldest. But I am appreciating them in their prime - I guess teh oldest person that I am attracted to currently would be, er.. Paul Michael Glaser, or Bill Nighy, who are in their 60s.. There wasn't anyone terribly young on there.
