I've been cupboard sorting today and found an entire trunk full of letters that I thought I had gotten rid of - I haven't sat and read them all, but I did browse through a few from those people I've lost. My beautiful Cheryl in particular - and although you never forget how much you miss someone, it does fade into the background at times - re reading just a handful of her letters - those we exchanged when we were both unhappy at uni, but still there for each other and still full of humour and stupid in jokes and little things sent and cards and throwaway remarks - it's like a gift - I feel loved and snuggled ♥

Other things I found astonished me - a pencil case full of ratty old Crayola crayons - that were probably last used in 1976 - why have I still got those?

I have been quite ruthless - old greetings cards, letters etc from those who are no longer important to me have gone, I have a few more cases to go through, and then who knows I may have a storage space that is actually useable for current items instead of old things.

I found my old child's weaving loom too - that's going nowhere though. I can't be that ruthless! I used to love that and it still makes me go "Aww" when I see it.

~~~
Today there has been much movement in my neighbour's house - workmen appear to be painting things, which suggest it is being prepared for another let - it also suggests that the last stink bag tennants damaged the property, 'cos it was only revamped just before they moved in.
~~~

I intended to restart my diet last week, indeed I had a good Monday and Tuesday, but then Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun I had social events that required eating out - and I have two more meals Tues and Wed of this week, so I haven't been overly succesful - Otoh, I've had a really nice week so far!

~~~
SPN this week was very good The first scene with Death was beautiful and gave me goosebumps. I love Crowley. Castiel is back and omg such a wonderful mixture of human vulnerability (have you ever seen him look more adorable than in that hospital gown?!) and hard core BAMF (I think that's the terminology). Next week's episode (I've seen no spoilers) is going to be so exciting!
Though - I stumbled across a vid saved on to my computer at the weekend and although it was an angsty vid (to Mika's No Happy Ending, I don't know who made it, I'd have to research), in the midst there was this interlude of happiness (to the "A little bit of love" section) and it was - the boys were so appealing and I realised - they don't smile anymore. And I know they've good reason, but I miss the happy.
I found it:
This is n't a gripe about where the show is, I'm loving it right now. More an observation of change.
I loved the way that vid built, thanks for posting it up here. And yes, the sentiment as well as the happy montrage feels especially poignant in face of what's probably to come on Thursday.
The vid is great isn't it - and yes, the love and relaxed montage does seem particularly symbolic in light of their current sitution. Can't wait/fearful for Thursday's ep (Friday morning for me!)
Hello! I would dearly love your crayola crayons if you didn't already throw them away. Crayola crayons of the past are better by 600% than modern ones, and mum lost all of mine. But obviously no problem if it's difficult or you cannot be bothered, I am far away from judgey about not bothering with things that include post.
Hello! OH GOD that is a brilliant vid, I love it, OH THEY LOVED EACH OTHER SO MUCH, I had almost forgotten that they smiled and constantly pushed at each other, and how weird was Sam's hair in the past? Very. I totally needed a slight reminder about how things used to be, and it's just wonderful and I watched it all the way through without getting bored and I know that is a little thing to say about a vid, but it rarely happens to me, even though I really like vids a lot. So yes. Do you happen to know who where I can download it, or I will google for myself and Be Less Lazy.
I really liked Death in this week's, I liked how they cast him, without going for some soft ironic option like a pretty girl or a boring teenager, he was great. And I'm surprised by how much I don't hate Crowley.
The crayons are in the other room still, and I am happy to send them to you - as long as you promise youpaid attention to the rattyness of them. Theytruly have been in existence since the early 70s and are somewhat battered and bruised. I will fish them out tomorrow and see what can be done.
The vid is rather excellent isn't it. I obviously thought so at the time it was first shown that I dloaded it, I was quite happy when I found it in a hidden file at teh weekend and I know exactly what you mean aout watching all teh way trough - I was berating myself (also at teh weekend) for my apparent poor attention span that even 4minutes can sometimes be too long.
As for dloading it : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=57OWT5SZ I hope that works, it's a very long time since I have u/l anything, so I may have done it wrong. Give it a try.
I did like Death (although he reminded me of someone else who I won't say for fear of spoiling your enjoyment). I liked Pestilence better this week too, since he stopped snotting over everything.
I promise I paid attention to the rattyness of the crayons. I have no faith in crayola crayons that are neat, they are only neat because they were rubbish and didn't work properly.
Your upload worked perfectly, thank you so much:):)
OH GOD. Now you say it, Death was a bit like the person I am assuming you mean. but he was BETTER and far less REPULSIVE. So it's fine.
I think that once we close out this chapter of SPN and we move onto the stripped down, back to the roots, version of the story next year we'll once again return to the happy moments that we love so dearly.
