So, as well as the two cats and 9 pairs of the mittens/handwarmers I showed you last week, my Christmas Present makes included this peg bag, which I made today:
Just one more pair of gloves to complete for Christmas, then I'm done.
Pegs = clothespins? That's some wonderfully retro fabric you've got there. You must sew a lot better than me as your seams look perfectly square and straight.
The seams look straight because I used a sewing machine for the first time - so much quicker! It was revelationary! Think I might have to save up and buy myself a machine...
What cute fabric! I admire your sewing skills, I'm rubbish at sewing!
PS I think one of the books I sent you has been returned to you :( I've been so busy I've not had a chance to walk down to the sorting office, and I thought today was the last I could go and get it, and I was going to go yesterday but then I realised that actually Tuesday was the three week deadline >.< I'm sorry! Can you please hold onto it for a little while and after Christmas I'll paypal you some money to cover the postage for sending it again?
The fabric's lovely isn't it/ I found a new (to me) fabric shop locally and couldn't resist it. It came in handy when I decided a peg bag was an appropriate present!
The stitches only look so neat because I used a sewing machine for the first time. I think I want one now though, so very quick and easy!
- I'll keep an eye out for the book, hopefully it will get here safely - not sure if I out a return address on to be honest! Ah well, I'll wait and see! Did the other book arrive okay?
Thank you - I fell in love with the fabric when I saw it, I was going to make myself a bag, but then inspriration struck for the peg bag and I used it for that instead - I shall go back and get myself some more though, because I love it!
Thanks - I was impressed by how speedy a sewing machine makes such endeavours! It took far longer to work out where I needed to cut and stitch etc than the actual making!
