finished. Which in itself is completely unacceptable. I am in love with Garth and Garth is so in desperate love with Liam it's not even possible.
The last episode. Oh God. It was kind of marvellous and I love it. Garth and oh. Garth was beaten up again while Liam was sleeping with some woman/traitor/woman and Garth was so confused, because he loves Liam and there were pointed looks and love, but then Liam went off and slept with the woman and Garth was beaten up, and he didn't even care about that, just being betrayed.
And then Nicola showed him her bosoms, nearly and he was confused, because he was having wierd dreams about Nicola when it's her dad he loves and it didn't make sense to him.
And Oh God. See this week's silly background story, which every week is an excuse for Garth to be beaten up and hurt, this week's had a long term couple separate after one of them believed for just a little while that their partner could have abused the 15year old boy they were rescuing. Tony, the innocent party ended his long term relationship with Peter Capaldi, because of the accusation.
AND THEN NICOLA ACCUSED GARTH OF ABUSE AND LIAM BELIEVED HER.And he attacked Garth and Garth put in for a transfer and was going to end their relationship. They couldn't have made it any more blatant and obvious and true that Liam and Garth are a couple and in love. Even if Liam is Nick Berry and confused. And it ended with Liam asking for forgiveness (in the most unsatisfying way ever, but they never did learn to talk to each other (apart from that once when Garth saved Liam from suicide and then threatened to kill him.)) And although they made a mistake and the music started just before Garth said yes, he clearly did because he is sooooooo needy for Liam and his family. Which is sad really because Garth is the best father the two kids could possibly have and it's sad that he doesn't truly understand how good he is. But.

Date: 2013-07-25 04:16 pm (UTC)In Deep is such a mess of emotions and happenings, and Garth deserves the best boyfriend in the world and instead he gets Liam who totally shot at him that time, I love how much Garth judged him for that and how Liam is the only thing he relies on in life even though it's obvious to everyone that Liam is a TERRIBLE thing to rely on. And Garth's an utter mess, but he's still better to rely on than Liam EVER COULD BE. (I'm sure you commented to me sometime about the shooting/hospital stuff, but I can't find it for the life of me, sorry I don't think I replied because I couldn't work out where it was and it seems to have disappeared from my email.)
I love how much Garth needs Liam's family, and how easily he just takes on being their dad when Liam's undercover somewhere or just being shit. And yeah, I think he was going to forgive him in the pub but I like that they left it open so if they decided to make more right now they could have just split up then and the new season could be about them getting back together for ridiculous reasons and having to work their stuff out and JUST LOVE EACH OTHER.
