ulp.. I had to call the sewerage people today and complain 'cos the drains were blocked. called them at 3pm - two men, a van and some long sticks arrived at 8pm. They proceeded to stand in my back garden, lift the manhole cover and poke the horrifying mess of sewage that had amassed (from the street, not just me!) with their big sticks. Whilst forcing me to make small talk. Quite quite horrifying. I have a brand new neighbour who moved in today (with children and a dog), My first words to her, rather than a cheery welcome to the neighbourhood, were a request for access to her manhole cover too. hmm. (not that I am the most sociable of creatures, so am not devastated about this..) But oh my, trying to make chit chat, whilst below you distressing abjects are bob bob bobbing around.... :(
Still, at least the toilet no longer bubbles...
Also? I had to interview a sex offender for the first time today, which wasn't as horrible as I'd anticipated - whilst actually doing it, but afterwards? I was so weepy and crappy feeling I just wanted to go home. I was on lock up tho, so had to stay till late. I am a bit concerned, 'cos on the scale of things, this was a very minor offence (if there is such a thing) - what will I do when it gets worse..?
hmm.
Still, after that, and then the poop, My friend and I went to Asda and I bought some shoes for summer (lovely wooden soled things, with a baby-blueish buckle thing), and some blueberry muffins. so hurrah.

I am happy about the non-bubbling toilet.
::hugs about the interview more than the drains::
You do so many difficult things, I am constantly wowed.
