Not as vain as it sounds! - as you can see! -
wanted to do something different today - I decided to scan my head and then 'do' something with the end result - the first one came out quite freaky..

I think it looks dead - as if I'd drowned.. I tried to put some water effects on it using photoshop type stuff, but whatever I have loaded on my puter isn't very sophisticated and didn't have any nuances - basically all it could do was massive 'ripple' effects -
so instead I decided a little 'artistic' posturing would be as effective, so a bit of posing, and some exhalation, and I got the look I wanted..

yay cheery!

Date: 2006-08-21 09:11 pm (UTC)Actually I blame you - as I am reading 'American Gods' at the moment - totally swallowed by Neil Gaimon books atthe moment - and this inspired this picture.. as soon as I saw I looked nearly dead, I had to follow this through to its conclusion!
(alternately I look like I felt yesterday!)

Date: 2006-08-21 10:08 pm (UTC)I do like his writing however - I started withGood Omens, then Neverwhere (which I loved btw, thanks for the recommendation!) and am now almost finished American Gods - which is the same dreamlike/questy strangeness.
As for mixing.. well, It's difficult, because i did have a fantastic night, vodka gives me an upset tummy, I think the real lesson learnt would be more about the 'lets not neck our vodkas 'down in one'....

Date: 2006-08-22 11:11 pm (UTC)Had to get head 2 inches from screen to place cursor in right place.. click it, then run to the scanner, get in position, try and look mournful, remember to close eyes (ostensibly for death effect, tho primarily in a desire not to be blinded) then remember to exhale at the right time (ie sensing the light beam through my eyelids!)
yup, definitely loses any mystique when viewed that way!
