This is snagged from [personal profile] kat_lair who gave me a letter G. Now you comment and I'll give you a letter and then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter.

Ten things I love that begin with a letter G:

This was hard... not in Order of preference.

1. Giles - As in Rupert Giles in Buffy. He is really rather fab, I like how he starts out a little ridiculous, but just becomes more and more essential to the show (whatever BuffyBitch might have thought!) - he was great when he lost Ms Calandar (plus pretty men getting tortured generally=hot), was groovy when he sang. And when he returned near the end of season 6 with the Willow Wars - it was astonishing. (I also love Spike, Willow, and Xander but their names didn't fit!)

2. Galaxy - Chocolate! It's brown and silky and delicious. Plus they had the adverts with the beautiful brown dress.

3. The Gay. Who woulda guessed?! The boy touching, the slash, the beautiful pictures and stories and ah yes. Also I like 'gay' as used in Shaun of the Dead - "I love you" - "alright.. GAY", and as an adjective Enid Blyton stylee.

4. Ginger - I love ginger hair. I don't care. I know what people think, but I love it. Half my extended family are true red heads, I have a auburnish ginger tinge and always wanted to be full on red. I think Patsy Palmer and Allyson Hannigan are beautiful, and ginger men can be gorgeous too (with some obvious exceptions Mr Hucknall).

5. Glaser - as in Paul Michael Glaser, as in Starsky as in Starsky & Hutch, which is my newest fandom, but this should by no means diminish it. It is perfect. Mr Glaser is so pretty, and has very tight jeans, and looks so gently at Hutch that it makes my tummy crunch.

6. The Gyllenhaals - In that I know nothing about them, except they are beautiful. Jake is all boy touchy and pretty and dark. plus, you know the cowboy thing, and Maggie. Well she seems to embody the beauty of the 1940s, which is probably my imagination, but she is stunning.

7. The Great War - okay maybe a bit sweeping, and I'm certainly not going yay for a huge war that killed millions - but what I really mean is literature and imagery based on WW1 - things like the Regeneration Trilogy, and my favourite book 'Flanders'.

8. Neil Gaiman - I've only just discovered his books, this entry therefore encompasses: Neil GAIMAN books in general, including GOOD OMENS, which is fantastic, and was co-written with Terry Pratchett, who writes the discworld 'GUARDS' books, starring Samual Vimes who is GREAT.

9. Ghost of the Robot - James Marsters' band - which yes, I freely admit I only accessed because he played Spike in Buffy and is teh sex, but I actually really like the music, which is a mixture of styles and can be really loud and guitarry, or quiet and soulful.

10. erm... Guys who cry (no that's not cheating) - I love the concept of boys who cry (yes, mainly in the abstract aesthetic sense, no-one wants someone weeping and wailing at every opportunity, but men who are unafraid to express emotion when it counts are very attractive.

Whew! Was harder than I thought

So, do you find yourself being drawn to actors who sing (James Marsters, David Soul, Anthony Stewart Head, etc) or is it just a byproduct of you liking them as an actor? And what do you think of James Marsters' newest album, the one where he's solo? I much prefer his GOTR stuff.

What an interesting question -

I don't think I actively hunt out those who can sing - I bought gotr after seeing James Martsers as Spike (but before OMWF), but there is something very 'personal' about actors when they sing - I don't know if it's a sense of they sing as themselves, so it's an insight into them as individuals rather than characters? I don't really know.

I did squeak the other day when seeing S&H sing Black Bean Soup, and knotched one more 'eeeee' point up to the boys..

As for GOTR vs James, I've not been able to get any solo stuff, it's not readily available over here, most things on ebay for a ton of cash, so i just grab what I can when I can.

oh Giles I have met Anthony Stuart Head briefly and even have a photo taken with him. The man may be more than twenty years my senior but would I kick him out of bed? Hell no.

I use to have shame but then I got into fandom. *goes back to lusting after Hugh Laurie's collar bones*
