The hot has not gone away.

Firefly is very shiny. I am half way through and there has been angst aplenty, smoldering looks, gratuitous lesbian massages, and torture! Oh yes. I approve wholeheartedly. Joss is very splendid.

Don't try and flush fresh pineapple chunks down the loo (I'm undergoing an experiment whereby if it's waste food product I will flush it rather than bin it, to save the bin being all stinky and fly infested - Pineapple floats. For days)

I bought my cats some catnip, but Phoebe just looks disdainfully at it, meowing 'Just Say No' at me as she leaves, Albert eats it, then goes and catches moths.

My Mum is home! Hurrah. she was nearly bitten by a dog, and went to Casualty (in that it did kind of bite her by accident and damaged her without giving her Rabies or anything), but she came home and is ok and is home.

When she was away she had an argument with my cousin who wanted to wear shorts to his Dad's funeral. He couldn't understand the concept of showing respect, to either his father or his mother who planned the funeral before my uncle died, and both wanted traditional black, burial the whole thing. This is the cousin who wants his Mum to go out and meet new people and 'Get over' the death of her husband of 30+ years (He has been dead 14 days)

My neighbours are loud.

I would like it to be raining now.

I had Eton mess yesterday. very nice.

bye!

In my bag af bargain dvds, that I found and was suprised by, I had both Firefly and Serenity. I got the entire season of Firefly for £12, so I thought I should watch it. It would be rude not to really..

So - I had 10 minutes of incomprehension, then it became a western. I like the western bit. Get somewhat fatigued with all the hyper spaceshippy bits. Oh and the tortured woeful girl is a bit drippy. But there is Alan Tudyk, who is Strawberry blonde, and Kasey (I'm bad with names), who is the sparky female mechanic - but she has a really good smile, and ate a strawberry in a particularly orgasmic way, so I forgive the cliche and approve. There is Nathan Fillion in his very nice pants, then there is the doctor - oh and he is so much from a western, he's all doc like, and wears waistcoats and is neat and a little bit Wesley like, but much better. And it is he that I think I shall be shipping with Nathan and his pants. There are certainly some nice glares and meaningful looks between them. They try to do these with the other female character, the 'companion', who is obviously supposed to hint of hidden depths and history, but I think that the companion and the mechanic are much better suited. Alan Tudyk's character is married to the first mate (That's naval terminology isn't it? I am probably making it all up). they are all loved up, and he keeps saying "I'm not leaving without my wife", and then she arrives and tells him not to fuss. Who else? Oh, the moody, taciturn man called Jane. He's the mercenary 'heartless one', but he is clearly gonna have a heart of gold at some point. I have only seen two episodes so far, so I don't think these count as spoilers. Oh! Oh I forgot the Priest. He has hair like a granny in a bun, it was confusing for me in the first episode when I didn't recognise them all yet.

I think I shall like it.

In other news: It is mercilessly hot.
